Appreciating the CCP Artworks

Before the first semester of AY 2016 – 2017 began, my two best friends and I went to the Cultural Center of the Philippines. For me, CCP has always been so flawless and I know that it will be like that forever until I reach the age of 120. When we came, there were less people, to my surprise! It was a dream come true because I hate crowded places (aka I hate people, just kidding!) or maybe, I liked it because it was something new. I have always visited crowded museums and CCP being less crowded on that day, made it refreshing and exciting! After traveling on the busy roads of Manila, we got on time! So we went inside and sought to appreciate the displayed works of art. The beauty of the masterpieces did not fail to mesmerize and amaze me. I’ll try my best to provide the names and artists of the artworks listed below. Also, my deepest apologies for not being able to have the credentials of the other artworks!

An artwork from PROMDI || Irma Lacorte

Irma Lacorte’s masterpiece was actually an interactive display. The artwork, I assumed, tasked us to create our own Anahaw balls, but alas! My companions and I failed to create a single ball. Instead of creating a beautiful  ball, I created a short braid out of three Anahaw strings to have a sense of fulfilment.

I am cringing right now because it would have been better if I provided the complete names and artists of the masterpieces (deeply mortified). This post will be continued in another post because continuing it in this post would make it long (my mouth and fingers are now filled with the word “post” after that sentence). Keep in touch!
